About Ashfall

Ashfall is our signature king-of-the-hill style event set on the unforgiving Sakhal map in DayZ. Players form teams of up to four and fight to capture and hold a custom-built base, scoring points for every 20 minutes they keep control. The team with the most points when time runs out takes the win.

Our first Ashfall event ran for six intense hours in June 2025, and it taught us a lot — from how players navigate Sakhal’s brutal environment to what makes a base fight truly epic. Going forward, we plan to fine-tune the event based on what the community wants most.

What makes Ashfall stand out is the unique, hand-crafted base designed to test your squad’s coordination and grit. The event isn’t just about combat, though — Sakhal’s harsh landscape means survival itself is your first challenge. Supply drops scattered across the map offer increasingly better loot to keep things exciting and give everyone a shot at victory.

We’re taking everything we learned from June’s Ashfall to make future events even better. Whether you’re a lone wolf or running with a full squad, Ashfall is your chance to test your skills, adapt, and have a blast with the HeatPackBandits community.
